Halloween mocktails that are a treat for everyone

Daring and delicious drinks for trick-or-treaters of all ages are not only fabulous to get people in the holiday mood, but they also look great on your Halloween table.

Sure, the fantastical food and scary bites will keep your guests full, you can embrace your whimsical side with costumes and decor, but a few terrifying tipples will really take your party up a notch.

Think playful and delicious; spooky and scary. Here are a few ideas from Choithrams.com

Pumpkin potion

Grab some ginger ale (100ml), orange juice (120ml), tinned pumpkin (2 tbsp) and coconut water (80ml) and blitz until smooth.

Pour over a chilled glass and add some boba pearls (2-3 tbsp) for effect.

Witches brew

Anything goes with this one. It's the addition of any green juice (60ml) to a can of ginger ale (330ml), plus a splash of organic lemonade, that gives the drink it's spooky colour.

Top with fake spiders, cobwebs or puppy dogs tails for a rather eerie effect.

Why not give them a go?

Hocus pocus punch

Pick your favourite mixed fruit punch (100ml, add some tangy cranberry juice (65ml) and top with a dash of fizzy apple juice.

A few slices of fresh apple make it more appealing, or even a spoonful of fresh cranberries that will sink to the bottom and have everyone wondering!

Delightful decorating

If the idea of making drinks feels like it's not quite enough, then decorating your glasses or serving vessels can add an extra level of fear.

A sheet of black paper, scissors, glue stick and a tad of imagination is all it takes to make regular bottles and glasses look out of this world.

Fresh faces

And we don't mean yours! Carving spooky faces into fresh fruit and floating them in a batch of punch is just another clever way of turning boring apple juice into a scary holiday drink.

It's simple, easy and even the kids can have a go using teaspoons or wooden knives and forks.

I see dead people

Halloween toys, plastic spiders, mini skeletons, rats and cobwebs are all great ways to turn a normal glass of juice into something more sinister looking.

Be sure to make sure they are throughly washed before being plonked into drinks.
