The Carolina Herrera Heart for Hope initiative to help those affected by the negative impact of the Covid-19 virus, has been rolled out across the Middle East. In partnership with the Emirates Red Crescent, Qatar Red Crescent Society, Bahrain Red Crescent Society, Jordanian Red Crescent, and Egyptian Red Crescent Society, the project was built around one of the brand’s most cherished assets: craftsmanship. A percentage of the proceeds from every Carolina Herrera bag or accessory purchased from May 8 to December 31, 2020, was donated to Red Cross and Red Crescent and is now being distributed in 44 countries.
The total was more than $7 million to help provide testing, medical equipment, ambulances, hygiene kits and psychological support to communities impacted by the coronavirus pandemic across the globe. In the same spirit, Herrera also partnered with the National Home Health Care Foundation (NHHCF) in KSA to implement the donations locally. NHHCF is a charity NGO whose mission is to maximise the quality of life for needy patients when they are back in their own home environment by providing them with medical and social support services.
