Hop to it folks and make Easter more memorable

It's never too early to start planning your egg hunt and with Easter just around the corner, we have a few handy ideas to liven things up a tad.

Why stick to the same old routine? This year, try out these fun ideas to make your annual chocolate search a little different.

Customise your hunt with clues

Make your egg hunt more challenging with scavenger hunt-style clues to help kids find the eggs.

Create your own clues and customise the hunt to your home or garden.

Start at the kitchen table and work your way into the garden, placing clues at every egg hiding point.

Here's a suggestion to get you going: Hello, dear egg hunter! Here’s your first clue sheet. Your next clue is waiting underneath the place we eat.

Be sure to hide the first set of eggs, along with the second clue, under the kitchen table.

You can even involve the family pet for added fun (be sure to leave treats for your fur kids, too).

Plan an energetic egg hunt

Get the kids moving with an energetic egg hunt that involves hopping, skipping, crawling, and tumbling in an indoor or outdoor setting.

Older kids can dress up with bunny ears, holding baskets to help the younger kids collect treats.

Ask each duo to look for the first set of treats using only one leg, then the second using a skipping rope.

The idea is to keep them exercising while looking for their yummy chocolate eggs.

Try Colour-coded treats

Create an egg-stravagant hunt with a variety of chocolate eggs and accessories in various colour themes.

Colour coding is a great way to make it fair for kids of all ages.

Assign each age group a colour, hide eggs and treats in matching hues and, if possible, pick up baskets in matching colours so they don't forget which colour they are.
