Ditch the sugar and reach for the electrolytes to keep you going this Dubai 30X30

This year’s Dubai Fitness Challenge is in full swing with classes, initiatives and activations taking place across the city until the end of the month. An annual celebration of fitness and wellness that encourages 30 minutes of exercise per day for 30 days, we say it's time to grab those trainers and get moving. The weather is cooler but the sun is still shining, which means you have to be prepare to hydrate both before and after exercise sessions, especially if you're training outside.

The best drink companion for sport is actually water — yes, good old H2O — because there's nothing better for our body than a constant flood of water to support muscles, organs and functions. But for those days when the hours have passed and the pace was high, sports drinks are a great tool to refuel. These drinks often contain a source of energy-boosting carbohydrates, as well as a balance of potassium, sodium, magnesium, and calcium, which help combat dehydration replete glycogen stores, and delay fatigue. Choithrams.com is stocked with options to help you refuel and rehydrate and they can all be delivered to your door ready for your next session.

Have hydration at hand

The brainchild of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, Dubai Fitness Challenge is the perfect way to get motivated this month and adopt an active and healthy lifestyle. The idea is to commit to 30 minutes of daily activity for 30 days, until the end of November. It doesn’t matter what you do as long as you move.

There’s an action-packed calendar of virtual and physical sessions taking place across the emirate, in a bid to make fitness accessible and easy for all. This year's programme will have the highest standards of safety precautions and social distancing measures in place to ensure Dubai's residents and visitors can stay connected and safe.

The new ‘cycle & blend’ initiative invites guests to cycle on a stationary spin bike, whilst simultaneously blending their very own healthy milkshake which will be served free of charge to the participant upon completion. With health in mind, the milkshakes are made using good-for-you ingredients with flavour options including kiwi, avocado and banana.
