An easy guide to a seamless baby bum change
Baby essential overload is real and it's tough to know what you really need and what you can leave well alone.
But when it comes to nappy changes, it's pretty straight forward and being organised is usually half the battle.

Having the right supplies on hand is the secret to seamless nappy changing and these essentials will help take the stress out of nappy changing and ensure change time is easy and harmonious for everyone involved.
Nappies
They come in all shapes, sizes and colours and it can get confusing.
Baby weight is usually the easiest way to determine the correct size and the brand is personal preference.
Our tip: make sure you always have a stock whether in the nursery, bathroom, in the baby bag, or at grandma's place.

Nappy cream
Always apply a nappy cream to avoid dry skin. It keep moisture away from baby's skin in an area that is being cleaned many times during the day and night.

Try not to rub nappy cream into the skin and instead gently spread on a thick layer and try and give it time to soak in.
It's also important not to wash it off at every nappy change. Once a day at night is enough.
Nappy changing tips and tricks
Just a few easy things to remember to keep changing time more fun for everyone.
- First things first, wash your hands thoroughly before and after changing your baby's nappy to help prevent the spread of germs. We say hand sanitiser is also a good shout, especially if you find yourself out and about.
- Hold on to baby’s ankles with your left hand (or right, if you’re left handed) if your bub is a wriggler. It will make both you and baby feel more secure.
- Provide your little one with distractions such as toys to play with or a mobile hanging above your station.
- Dress your little one in clothing that’s easy to put on and remove. It will mean less fuss around change time and help the process go quickly and without stress.
