The latest Dubai Laughter Factory tour —Going Posh, Going Large — kicks off next weekend at two brand new venues.
Three comedy superheroes will take to the stage at the Dubai World Trade Centre and Theatre by QE2 on April 1 and 2 respectively, in a bid to rescue us from the mundane dredge of daily life here on planet Earth.
The Laughter Factory’s unique, global brand of naughtiness has been entertaining crowds across the region for decades and organisers say they don't plan on 2021 being any different. Having just received the go ahead from the relevant Dubai authorities to begin the shows again, we cannot wait to welcome Canadian- Filipino comedian, Ron Josol, the Laughter Factory's first ever Romanian, comic Victor Patrascan, and Portuguese comedy powerhouse André De Freitas.
Josol will take you on a riotous ride and bring you out the other side with a guaranteed grin. A dazzling performer, he has the ability to stir up laughs with samples from a multi-cultural melting pot of gags, mirroring life in most urban centres today. With hilarious scenarios and comments on our global society there isn’t a single traveller who won’t love his show.
Next up it's Romanian comic Victor Patrascan who describes himself as an "outrageous social commentator and pretentious stand up comedian who lives in London, but was made in Romania". We probably don't need to say much more!
Finally, all we can say about André De Freitas is "wow". This Portuguese comic has a stage presence that makes the Burj Khalifa look like a garden shed. It is an absolute joy watching this stunning man dominate the room and keep everyone in the palm of his hand. Both men and women, simply melt in front of him into a gibbering pool of uncontrollable laughter. Nights out don’t get any better than this.
