Fuel your body before hitting the training ground

The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships is one of the most eagerly anticipated events on the UAE sporting calendar and one of the most popular tournament stops for the ATP World Tour and the WTA Tour.

As some of the best players in the world take to the court, the interest in tennis, both watching and playing, spikes across the region.

If you're planning on taking to the court make sure your body has been suitably fuelled for the outing. Tour players reveal their six recommendations for pre-match meals and snacks.

  1. A turkey or chicken sandwich with veggies
  2. A yoghurt parfait with berries and granola
  3. Bananas and fresh fruit
  4. Pasta with butter
  5. Bagel with low fat cream cheese
  6. Brown rice bowl with protein and veggies

Owned and organised by Dubai Duty Free and held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

It consists of a WTA 500 women’s event, followed by the ATP 500 men’s tournament. This is the 30th year of the ATP tournament and the 22nd year of the WTA tournament.
